Strong to air Zuku channels

STRONG Technologies Zambia, which runs the My TV pay television, has acquired rights to broadcast Zuku channels in the country.
Zuku comprises over 100 channels that include internationally acclaimed Bollywood Asian movies, Chinese movies, African movies, international news channels, documentaries and various sports channels.
Announcing the development, Strong Technologies chief executive officer Lloyd Ngoma commended Government and the Independent Broadcasting Authority for allowing the company to have additional channels.
“This positive development is a result of fruitful negotiations that started one year ago with Wananchi Satellite Television, owners of the Zuku brand of channels. We are proud to offer this brilliant range of channels on the Zambian market, which is coming at the right time of the festive season,” he said.
Mr Ngoma said local channels for both radio and television would soon be included on the platform since the company has enough space to increase the bouquet.
The Asian movie channels on the Zuku platform have unsurpassed Indian movies in excess of 20. The platform will also offer children’s channels, international news channels such as Bloomberg, BBC, France24, Al Jazeera, DW-TV, Sky News, Fox News, Euro News and several African national broadcasting channels.
Zuku channels will also offer religious channes like the popular Emmanuel TV, God TV and documentaries involving crime, history, nature and exploration, among other items.
Zuku channels will also broadcast music channels such as MTV Base and BET. Sports channels on offer include Fox Sports one and two, and Eurosport News, among others.
