Sata body moved to State House

Late President Michael Sata’s body has been taken to State House where it will lie in state until burial tomorrow, November 11, 2014 at Embassy Park in Lusaka.

 

The late President’s body has been moved from Mulungushi International Conference Centre where it has been laying in state since it arrived in the country on November 1, 2014 from London where the former Head of State died at King Edward VII Hospital.

 

The late President’s body which arrived at State House at about 12:00 hours was escorted security personnel that included the Zambia Army, Zambia Air Force, Zambia National Service and the Police.

 

Foreign Heads of State, other Dignitaries and State House members of staff will later in the day be accorded a chance to pay their last respects to the late President.

 

Nine Heads of States and other dignitaries are expected in the country today ahead of the burial of the late former Head of State.

 

Late President Sata who died in London at King Edward VII Hospital will be put to rest tomorrow November 11, 2014 at Embassy Park in Lusaka after a Requiem mass at the National Heroes Stadium.
