Senior Chief Milambo mourns Sata

Chembe, November 8, 2014,ZANIS—–Senior Chief Milambo of the Ushi people of Luapula province has described the late President Michael Sata as a hero who will always be remembered by his subjects for the many developmental projects the Head of State initiated in his chiefdom.

The Senior Chief says during the three years of President Michael Sata’s reign, three schools and three health posts where constructed in his chiefdom a development he said had transformed the lives of his subjects.


ZANIS reports that Senior Chief Milambo said this at his palace when Chembe District Commissioner Simon Lwando paid a courtesy call on him.


He expressed gratitude to the late President and the Patriotic Front Government for considering Luapula province in the developmental projects citing the pending construction of Luapula University and an international airport as landmark developments that the people of Luapula will forever cherish.
He said traditional leaders will remember President Sata for recognizing them through the initiative to build palaces and increasing their pay.


Meanwhile, Senior Chief Milambo’s son Lwando Chipili has thanked Government for grading the road from the Chembe – Mansa road to Senior chief Milambo’s  palace.


 Mr Chipili has since called on Zambians to mourn the late President Sata in peace and unity and to pray for guidance for the next Head of State whom God will give the Zambian people.
