Manyinga Mourns President Sata

 

Manyinga, Nov 5th, 2014 , ZANIS —–  Manyinga District Commissioner Queen Manela says President Sata was a vibrant and visionary leader who had passion to develop Zambia.

 

 

Ms Manela said that the President has particularly left a mark in Manyinga District after declaring it as a District over two years ago.

 

 

Manyinga was until the year 2012 part of Kabompo District as a Sub Centre.

 

 

Ms Manela was quick to mention that the people of Manyinga should also remember the late President over various developmental Projects which have commenced under his leadership.

 

ZANIS reports that the District Commissioner said this today when she addressed an emergency  meeting with several heads of department in the area.

 

President Micheal Chilufya Sata, who died at King George the Seventh Military Hospital in the United Kingdom on Tuesday 28th October, 2014 after an illness.

 

 

Among the notable projects the new district has witnessed includes the  establishment of the new Manyinga Boma site, establishment  of  Manyinga  District Council, Construction, rehabilitation and upgrading  of various Schools in the District among other Projects.

 

 

Recently Provincial Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga revealed that Government will commence Construction works at the new Boma Site with 20 Houses,a Civic Centre, a District Administration Office and a Police Post.

 

 

And Headman Sanyundu of Sanyundu Village under Senior Chief Sikufele in Manyinga District told ZANIS in an Interview said he is extremely devastated over President Sata’s death.

 

 

The Headman implored People in Manyinga to mourn and celebrate the developments President Sata has brought to the District.

 

 

Headman Sanyundu sited some developments such as; the employing of various Professionals as Civil Servants to work and implement Governments developmental programmes.

 

 

And District PF District Chairman, Reverend Tande Chipawa described the death of President Sata a great loss to Party and the Nation.

 

 

Reverend Chipawa implored Party members and the People of Manyinga to remain calm in honor of the departed President.

 

He said this when he addressed Party members who convened what was termed as “ a Party funeral “ at Malaiti Guest House in Manyinga

 

 

Meanwhile, Father Albert Sakala of St Joseph Catholic Church in Manyinga District described the death of President Sata as untimely when the nation needed him for continuity, peace and harmony.

 

 

Fr. Sakala in an Interview with ZANIS yesterday advised the PF leadership to continue leading the nation from where President Sata left.
