AU Chief mourns Sata

Chairperson for the African Union (AU) Commission Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma says she has learnt with great sadness the death of Zambian President Michael Sata.

 

Dr. Dlamini Zuma said the late Mr. Sata, who died in London on Tuesday last week, will be missed not only in Zambia but Africa as whole.

 

She said the late Mr. Sata was a frank and forthright man who served the nation well in various portfolios he held even before becoming the President of Zambia.

 

Dr. Dlamini-Zuma said this when she signed a book condolences for the Late Mr. Sata at the Zambia Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

 

This is according to the statement issued to ZANIS in Lusaka today by the Zambia embassy in Ethiopia.

 

And the Zambian embassy in Ethiopia has disclosed that the response has been overwhelming since the book of condolences for the late President Sata was opened on Friday 31st October 2014.

 

The late Mr. Sata will be buried on Tuesday 11th November 2014 at the Embassy Park in Lusaka.
