—Marketeers in Mansa District in Luapula Province say it is unbelievable that Republican President, Michael Sata, is dead.

The marketeers from Muchinka Main and Kaole Markets said the demise of President Sata has brought great sorrow to them.

Muchinka Market Vice Chairman, Nicolas Mulwanda, says the hearts of the marketeers in Mansa bleed sorrow as they have been robbed of a true leader who wanted to see them trade in a conducive environment.

ZANIS reports that Mr Mulwanda, cited the construction of Kasasa Market in Mutende Township as one example that the President proved that he waas committed to putting up modern markets in the district.

He added that the late President had a vision for the country, saying in the three years he has ruled, the country has also seen the construction of roads.

Mr Mulwanda has since urged all peace-loving citizens to mourn peacefully and pray to God that He raises a good President like Mr Sata who will responded to people’s needs.

And Paison Yamukuba, a marketeer from Muchinka Market, said it was only in the three year-rule of the Late President Sata that the disabled were recognized in Zambia.

Meanwhile Kaole Market chairman, Alex Bwalya, said traders at Kaole are all deeply saddened by the death of the President.

Mr Bwalya said when the marketeers asked for resources from the President through Bahati Constituency Member of Parliament to help them at the market, he came through for them.

He said as the nation mourns the Republican President, peace should prevail just like he was a believer in peace.
