Muchinga province receives Ebola preventive equipment

——Muchinga Province has received its first consignment of Ebola Public Protective Equipment (PPE).


Muchinga Clinical Care Specialist, Charles Chungu, disclosed this during the Muchinga Province Emergency Response Team on Ebola Virus disease preparedness meeting held today in Chinsali district.


Dr Chungu said the district received a total of 258 Ebola Public Protective Equipment last week which is yet to be distributed to all the seven districts in the province.


He said the Ebola equipment will only be distributed after three-day training is conducted which will attract six participants from each province.


Dr Chungu said the PPE received include eight handy spray, one litre sprayer, 16 gumboots, 37 plastic aprons, 35 face shields and 37 gloves.


Others are 72 biohazard bags, 10 powdered groves, 2.5 litres of ethanol Lars, 20 clear lenses and 18 dust masks.

  1. The Americans are the originators of the Ebola virus ,hope they are not the supplirs of those protective kitts!!!
