The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has encouraged the families of the Lake Kariba boat accident victims in Gwembe district to look to God for comfort.

EFZ Executive Director Pukuta Mwanza says everything happens for a purpose and hence people should be strong and accept what has happened.

Reverend Mwanza says this is not time for people to start complaining and questioning God on why such a tragedy has happened, but that instead people should continue to pray to God to always provide protection and guidance whenever they embark on a journey.

He adds that it is sad that the people drowned at a very important time when the country was celebrating the golden jubilee.
Reverend Mwanza says God has a better reason for allowing such a situation to happen, adding that everything should be left in his hands.
Reverend Mwanza has further commended the Zambian government, the police and everyone who played a role in ensuring that all the bodies are retrieved.
