Patriotic Front Secretary General Edgar Lungu has suspended the boards and executive directors of four PF-aligned non governmental organisations.

Mr. Lungu, who is also Acting President, has suspended the boards of the National Project for Poverty Reduction, the Policy Monitoring and Research Center, the Research Bureau and the Patriotic Front Data Center.

He says he has decided to suspend the boards and their heads to strengthen the decision President Sata made when Mr. Wynter Kabimba was fired as party Secretary General and Justice Minister.

Mr. Lungu has since directed that the suspended Executive Directors report to his office on Monday at 09:00hrs.

This is according to a statement released by Mr. Lungu in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, a PF- Member Sunday Chanda has appealed to PF members country wide to defend President Michael Sata and the leadership from attacks by the Post Newspaper.

Mr. Chanda says the Post Newspaper has been attacking the President by questioning the appointment of Edgar Lungu as Acting President.

Mr. Chanda said this in Lusaka during a press briefing.

He adds that there is no need for the Post Newspaper to compare the leadership of Former Secretary General, Wynter Kabimba to that of Mr Lungu.

He says it is time for PF members to identify traitors in the ruling party and weed them out.

And Mr. Chanda says PF’s agenda of improving living standards of Zambians is on course.
