Govt calls for employees’ registration

Chisamba, October 21st, ZANIS—Government has called on employers in Chisamba district to ensure that they register their workers with the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) for social security.

 

 

And NAPSA Board Chairperson Teddy Mulonga said the board is committed to ensure that the physical presence of NAPSA especially in the newly created district becomes a reality.

 

Labour minister Fackson Shamenda says this was because the welfare of the workers in the country is important.

 

Mr. Shamenda has for this reason challenged the informal sector to ensure that their workers are paid a decent wage in order to enhance productivity.

 

He  however appealed to the workers to remain dedicated and productive in a bid to foster prosperity in their respective working places and businesses.

 

The minister also called on the employers in the informal sector to ensure that even domestic workers are registered with NAPSA for social security.

 

ZANIS Reports that Mr. Shamenda said this during the opening of the NAPSA Chisamba Office in Chisamba today.

 

And NAPSA Board Chairperson Teddy Mulonga said the board is committed to ensure that the physical presence of NAPSA especially in the newly created district becomes a reality.

 

Meanwhile, Chisamba District Commissioner Ferdinand Chimpindi praised President Michael Sata for creating Chisamba as a new district.

 

Mr. Chimpindi said the move has translated into massive development coupled with the construction of various social structures for the benefit of the local people.
