The Zambia National Soccer team has arrived safely in Niger. Chipolopolo landed at about midnight.The team has been accommodated at Tenere Hotel in central Niamey the capital city.
Niger Football Federation officials met the team at the airport that had a sizeable crowd waiting to have a glimpse at the 2012 African Champions.
Captain of the side Chris Katongo and Association President Kalusha Bwalya were easily recognised by the locals at the airport.
Zambia plays Niger on Saturday at 18:00 hours Zambian. The team will however miss the services of towering defender Stopilla Sunzu who lost a sister early this week and was excused from national duty.
