A Lusaka based clergyman has called on members of the public to actively participate in activities that draw them closer to the love of God.

Pastor Silas Chabala of the Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church expressed worry about people’s desire to actively embrace material possessions rather than Godly things.

Pastor Chabala said people should endeavor to actively participate in activities that will consolidate their relationship with God who is the maker of life.

He was speaking in a homily at Kalinglainga Primary School Grounds in Lusaka last night at the ongoing SDA Lusaka conference being held under the theme “Jesus is the answer”.

And Pastor Chabala has called on the well to do people in society to have compassion towards the less privileged particularly women and children.

He also has urged members of the public to set apart some time in their busy schedule and reflect on their relationship with God.
