PF C/belt youth leader counsels MPs

Kitwe, Sept 24, 2014, ZANIS……. A Patriotic Front (PF) Youth leader in Kitwe has urged the party’s Members of Parliament on the Copperbelt to stop attacking each other through the media.

Kitwe District PF Youth chairperson Mukuzo Kaboba said the MPs should use available channels within the party structures to air their grievances or differences among them unlike using the media as this will discredit the party.

ZANIS reports that Mr Kaboba said in an interview in Kitwe today that it was now time for the PF Members of Parliament to work towards addressing the problems of the electorates instead of fighting each other.

And Mr Kaboba has commended President Michael Sata for promising to address the problem of bed spaces at the highest institutions of learning in the country.

He noted that the problem of accommodation at the University of Zambia and the Copperbelt University had gotten out of hand and needed urgent attention.

Mr Kaboba also urged students at the University of Zambia and Copperbelt University to support government in ensuring that the vision of the President was executed to address the problem of accommodation.

Last week during his opening of parliament, President Michael Sata said government will address the problem of bed spaces at the University of Zambia, the Copperbelt University, Mulungushi University and the Evelyn Hone College in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Mr Kaboba has commended President Sata for the massive infrastructure development that the country has recorded in the three years the Patriotic Front Government has been in power.

He noted that a lot of health services, schools and roads among others have been constructed in the past three years that the PF has been in power which shows that the party has fulfilled most of its campaign promises.

Apart from infrastructure development, Mr Kaboba also cited the appointment of women to high decision making positions in government and the unprecedented improvement and harmonization of the salaries of civil servants as some of the remarkable achievements that the Pf Government has scored in the past three years.
