Minister of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Mwansa Kapeya, says government is working with traditional rulers to ensure Zambians access land with title so they develop it.

And Mr. Kapeya says accessing land without title has contributed to the much confusion that has been happening in the recent past concerning who owns a particular land.

He notes that land has also for a long time been abandoned and not developed for a long time because people access land without title and hence do not care about when they develop it citing that when one acquires land, they have to develop it.

Mr. Kapeya however states that government also wants to empower Zambians especially the women and youths with land but states that government is doing this by following the right procedures.

He says all those willing to acquire land should ensure they follow the laid down procedures to avoid confusions.
