Govt. hails SDA Church for commitment in addressing challenges in communities

Government has praised the Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) for its commitment in addressing various challenges in the communities.

Gender and Child Development Deputy Minister Obious Chisala said the SDA is a true partner with government in reaching out to women and alleviating the suffering they go through in the country.

Mr Chisala said government is aware of the contributions the SDA is making to the country’s national development through offering education, health services and emergency relief.

ZANIS reports that the deputy minister said this in Lusaka today during the opening of the seventh day Lusaka and central Zambia conference.

The ongoing SDA women ministries congress is being held under the theme ‘Vessel of Honour”

Earlier, Central Province SDA District women leader Angelica Chibobola reaffirmed the church’s commitment to supplement government in empowering women in the country especially the vulnerable.
