Rusangu University launches health science course

of Ministry of Community Development, Mother and Child Development Deputy Minister Dorothy Kazunga says government appreciates the role Rusangu University is doing in training Environmental Health technologist in the country.

Ms Kazunga said Rusangu University is among few private medical colleges offering professional environmental health science courses.

She said this during the launch of a diploma course in environmental health Sciences offered by the newly opened Zambian School of Community Health Sciences in Makeni in  Chilanga district today .

Ms Kazunga said government supports such good initiatives of establishing colleges such as the Zambian School of Community Health Sciences.

Ms Kazunga said this will complement the country’s efforts in training health workers to provide quality health care services in the country.

And speaking at the same function, Zambian School of Community Health Sciences School Director Humphrey Monde said the newly established Zambian School of Community Health Sciences will strive to complement government efforts in training health care personnel.

Mr Monde appealed to government and other co-operating partners to support the Zambian School of Community Health Sciences in order to achieve its vision.
