– Standard Chartered is best Consumer Internet Bank for fourth time in a row

— Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) has been awarded as Best Consumer Internet Bank in Zambia by Global Finance.

 

 

ZANIS reports that Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Andrew Okai disclosed the development in a statement released in Lusaka today.

 

 

The Consumer award is the fourth consecutive year that the bank has won this highly competitive award.

 

 

Mr. Okai said  his institution  is delighted to be recognized as the Best Consumer Internet Bank in the country.

 

 

He disclosed that the award adds to the Bank’s accolades in 2014 after being awarded as best financial institution in Zambia by the Euro-money Awards for Excellence in July this year.

 

 

He stated that the Euro-money Award also recognized Standard Chartered’s community investment initiatives, including efforts to curb deforestation through its tree-planting exercise.

 

 

The SCB CEO said his banks remains committed to digital banking space,  offering quality and efficient banking services and solutions to its clientele  in Zambia, the entire Africa continent, Asia and the Middle East.
