L/stone teachers advised to prepare pupils adequately for exams

Livingstone, Aug 7/14, ZANIS——Livingstone District Education Board Secretary, Zeneliah Choola, has advised teachers to prepare pupils adequately to avoid examination malpractices in the country.

Speaking to ZANIS in an interview, Mrs Choola said it was imperative that teachers prepare pupils adequately prior to exams in order to avoid malpractices.

She further said briefings concerning examination management at district level would soon be conducted as previous experiences showed that examination malpractices were not usually from one source.

Mrs Choola explained that the district had taken this step early to give ample time to teachers and pupils to prepare academically for the forthcoming examinations.

“We have done this early as a district to avoid a situation where teachers and pupils complain of not being prepared on time. I would also like to state that consequences will be severe for those who will be found with examination materials prior to exams.

Mrs Choola has since appealed to teachers to put in their best in teaching to help improve Zambia’s education by making sure no malpractices are recorded in this year’s examinations.
