The Non Governmental Organization Coordinating Council (NGOCC) has appealed to President Michael Sata to clear all the negative speculations about him by making a public appearance.

NGOCC Board Chairperson Beatrice Grillo has told Qfm news that President Sata will do the majority Zambians proud by making a public appearance.

Ms Grillo says Zambians are becoming depressed for not seeing their President who they love and cherish.

She states that President Sata should know that Zambians miss him and are eager to see him address any national event just to end speculations about him.

Ms Grillo further adds that Zambians are not satisfied with statements suggesting that the Head of State is well and working.

She says people want to hear it from the President himself that he is well.

  1. Actions speaks louder than words.what else do you want from mr sata when the writings are clearly seen and written on the wall.

  2. NGOCC who are you representing? Which Zambians are depressed? Most NGOs are chancers who only bark on unnecessary matters. I would agree with you if you were speaking from a remote rural area (where poverty reigns) and that people there are vehemently demanding to see in public their president, unlike uttering statements from the comfort of your home (perhaps office) while watching Telemundo. Please inform us also what your NGO is doing to help foster socio-economic development particularly in rural areas where ordinary people are in abject poverty. Tell us please, so far what has been your contribution or participation in national development of our country? Do not blind us with your seemingly Watchdog role in issues that do not affect us poor citizens. I would have appreciated if you were calling for president to appear in public and update us various projects the government is doing in order to create employment, alleviate poverty etc.
