SDA commended for improving people’s lives
Solwezi, Jul 14/14 ZANIS——–North-western Province Permanent Secretary, Amos Malupenga, has commended the Church for partnering with government in improving the lives of vulnerable people in the country.
Mr Malupenga said government appreciates the strong partnership that exists with the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church through their community service work.
He said the Church has not only shown commitment in preaching the gospel but also involved in supplementing efforts of government in delivering service such as in education and health which are aimed improving living standards of vulnerable people.
Mr Malupenga was speaking in a speech read for him by his deputy, Alfred Chingi, when the SDA church made a donation of assorted items worth K11,324 to Solwezi General Hospital yesterday.
And SDA District Pastor, Simasiku Kamayoyo, reaffirmed the Church commitment to supplementing government’s efforts in lifting the living standards of vulnerable people in society.
The church donated bags of mealie meal, fruits, cooking oil, detergent paste and bathing soap among other items.
