Mwinilunga district commissioner Irene Mate has retaliated government’s commitment to developing the livestock industry in the country.

Ms Mate said it is in this vain that government has put up a livestock breeding centre in Kanyama area in Mwinilunga so that farmers in the district could have improved breeds of livestock animals.

The DC was speaking yesterday during a traditional leadership sensitization meeting on controlled movement of animals organized by World Vision Zambia.

Ms Mate has urged people in the district to take advantage of the Kanyama breeding center to rear animals at a large scale for income generation.

Meanwhile, Ms Mate has commended World Vision Zambia for supplementing government efforts in its quest to combat poverty and other social ills affecting women and children.

And speaking earlier, Lunga Mundanyama Development manager Riversage Nzala said the organisation will continue supplementing government efforts in the provision of social services to vulnerable people in society.

Mr Nzala said the organisation has been involved in constructing school and health infrastructure because government alone cannot manage to meet the costs.

  1. May I simply just say what a relief to uncover someone
that truly understands what they’re discussing on the internet.
You actually understand how to bring an issue to light and make it important.

More and more people need to look at this and understand this side of
your story. I can’t believe you’re not more popular given that you most certainly
    have the gift.
