Govt program to develop four airports

–Government has approved infrastructural development program for the four airports in the country.

Transport, Works, Supply and Communications Permanent Secretary, Charles Sipanje, announced the development in a speech read on his behalf by his deputy, Joe Kapembwa.

Mr Sipanje named the airports as the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, Simon Mwansa Kapwepwe International Airport, Harrry Mwanga Nkumbula Internal Airport and Mfuwe International Airport.

He said the country is making efforts in adhering to international standards in aviation, saying the right thing is being done to ensure safety in the skies.

The PS said this last night during a gala dinner for the Africa-Indian Ocean Planning and Implementation Regional Group (APIRG) at Intercontinental Hotel in Lusaka.
