Lusaka, July 6, 2014—Zambia Judo Federation President, Alfred Foloko, is optimistic that Zambia will mint Gold at the Common Wealth Games Championships that kick off from July 23 to August 3 in Scotland.

Foloko said the four-member team that has trained for a very long time will top the tables at the championship.

He was speaking to Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in an interview in Lusaka.

The Zambia’s top cream Judokas team consists of Mathews Punza, Bowas Munyunga, William Kalunga and Abigail Chendenle.

“I am sure our team will not come back empty handed because they adequately prepared for those games,” he said.

The Francis Linosi-led team will battle it out in the 81kg, 66kg, 60kg and 48kg categories.

The powerful Zambian Judo team left last week and is already in Glasgow ahead of the Common Wealth Championships.
