CHIEF Mukutuma of the Lamba in Lufwanyama district has died at the age of 90.
Chief Mukutuma died in Ndola Central Hospital on Wednesday.
Copperbelt Province Minister Mwenya Musenge confirmed the death of the Lamba chief in Ndola yesterday.
“With permission from the Lamba Royal Establishment, his highness Senior Chief Chiwala, I wish to announce with deep sorrow the demise of his Royal Highness Chief Mukutuma,” Mr Musenge said.
“On behalf of Government, we are saddened because he was one of those that worked very well with Government and promoted a lot of development,” Mr Musenge said.
“As Government, we pass our sincere condolences to the family and the Lamba people,” he said.
