A civic organisation in Mkushi District has called on residents in the area to scale up the fight  against  all  forms of corruption.

Lay a Hands Foundation (LaHF) Director Biven Mukonka says that it was important for residents in the district to fight corruption with renewed energy.

Mr. Mukunka pointed out that the prevalence of corruption eroded development of any society at all levels.

He added that his organisation was working hand in hand  with the ACC (Anti-Corruption Commission) to ensure that the fight against is consolidated in the communities.

ZANIS reports that the LaHF Director said this during a meeting held with stakeholders.

He explained that  his organisation was attached to boosting the community education aspect of the ACC.

During the same forum, LaHF Program Manager Florence Simwangala said that it was important for residents to know that the fight against corruption was aimed at creating a just society for all.

Mrs. Simwangala emphasised that more citizens stood to benefit in a society that was free from corruption, adding that the fight against corruption had the full backing of Government’s political Will.
