Kapata launches Domestic Tourism campaign

Minister of Tourism and Arts Jean Kapata has launched the Domestic Tourism campaign saying there is a huge potential to create all-year galleries, museums, craft markets and cultural villages alongside traditional ceremonies for positive economic impact.
“Currently, we have a sad situation prevailing in most districts and provinces where local authorities and provincial governments have minimal appreciation of the tourism sector and have no agenda on their activity list and there is a total absence to the industry developmental effort.
“This situation has to change immediately if our country has to develop domestic tourism,” she said.
