PF in Itezhi Tezhi district welcome new DC
Itezhi Tezhi June 17, 2014, ZANIS—The Patriotic Front (PF) in Itezhi Tezhi district in central province says it welcomes the new district Commissioner Mr. George Sichinga.
The party said with the coming of Mr. Sichinga to head the district the opposition UPND to what they said into ‘political oblivion’.
In statement made available to ZANIS this morning, the PF cadres said that the political atmosphere in the district was now very conducive for development and thanked President Sata for bringing a new DC.
The cadres said that the coming of the new DC has been welcomed by all party cadres and they are ready to work with him to ensure that development that the ruling party has brought to the district is completed.
The statement issued by PF Chairperson Beaton Manje says that unlike the divisive tactics applied by former DC, the new DC has so far managed to unite the party and the people of Itezhi Tezhi as they are working well with the Area Member of Parliament.
The statement says that the PF executive committee has managed to convince the people of Itezhi Tezhi in all wards to rally behind President Michael Sata and the PF.
The statement has categorically outlined the different areas that PF has successfully implemented the campaign promises such as the provision of clean water to the people, building of schools, upgrading of the D769 road to bituminous standard, creation of over 700 jobs to local people.
The statement also said Pf district chairperson Beaton Manje has called on people to support the ruling party in order for development to continue.
The statement further stated that 271 UPND and MMD defectors have joined PF.
