Patriotic Front-PF-Secretary General Wynter Kabimba says President Michael Sata wants to see a united and strong ruling party that will face the 2016 General Elections with huge chances of a landslide victory.
Mr Kabimba, who is also Justice Minister, says President Sata attaches a lot of importance to unity and discipline in the party because they are the values that ushered the PF in government in 2011.
The PF Secretary General says he has been going round the country mobilizing party structures and preaching intra-party unity because they are critical for winning the next general elections.
He also directed party structures to avoid suspending party members whenever there were differences, and instead use methods such as dialogue and warnings.
Mr Kabimba said this in Kitwe when he addressed party leaders from constituencies, districts and the Copperbelt Province Executive.
And PF Copperbelt Province Chairman Stardy Mwale says the party in the province is strong, but called for more reconciliation among members that had differences among themselves.
