Private Sector Development Association (PSDA) has bemoaned the continued weakening of the Kwacha.

The Kwacha on May 27th reached a record low against the US dollar, trading at K7.035 per dollar.

PSDA Chairman Yusuf Dodia has told Qfm News in an interview that the weakening of the kwacha is negatively affecting the cost of doing business.

Mr. Dodia notes that the cost of production has extremely gone up leading to the increase in the cost goods and services.

He explains that this has a great impact on the consumers and the well being of the economy.

Mr. Dodia has since appealed to government to find quick interventions that will help stabilize the kwacha.
