The late Nkana Football club coach , Masauso Mwale will be buried today May 27th 2014 at Kansenshi Cemetery in Ndola. According to assistant coach, Zeddy Saileti, the funeral program will be preceded by church service at Levy Mwanawasa stadium, starting at 9:00 hours.
Mourners are expected to depart the stadium at 12:30 for Kansenshi cemetery.
Mr Mwale died in a road accident on friday evening, 19 hours before his side met Sewe Sport of Ivory coast in a CAFconfederations cup game at Nkana stadium on Saturday. Nkana decided to go ahead with the game which they eventally drew one all with the visitors.
Mwale will be remembered for having assembled a team of players that won the 2013 FAZ-MTN league and restored Nkana’s place in the Zambian football hall of fame. This earned him kudos as the coach of the year 2013.
Mwale was also assistant coach for the chipolopolo, with his last assignment being at the 2013 CECAFA GOTV tournament.
