Chipolopolo trainer Patrice Beumelle says the may training camp for Chipolopolo has been a great success and has urged the players to take very good care of themselves. Speaking at the close of this month’s training, the coach said he was happy with what he had seen and reminded those that may not be included in the team to travel to America not to despair but focus on making it into the Afcon sqaud that will start the campaigns in September.
“Unfortunately not everyone can go but remember we have the Afcon qualifiers coming up and we should all remain focussed on making it into that squad. To you “Muzo” (Joseph Musonda), Isaac (Chansa) and Hichani (Himonde), thank for being around. Your presence is important both on and off the pitch” said the trainer.
Patrice has also emphasised that the the camp was called in line with his program of having a three day training session every month for the local players.”This training session was not meant to pick players to face Japan but to just do our usual traning and assesment” he added.
He has however said some of the players that were in this camp have a chance of going to America to face Japan in the friendly on June 6.
