A 28-YEAR-OLD woman of Kalulushi has told the Kitwe Magistrate’s Court how four men allegedly took turns to rape her at a bar in Kitwe’s Ndeke Village.
This is in a case in which Geoffrey Lwenje and Mumena Mbulo are jointly charged with rape.

It is alleged that Lwenje and Mbulo on March 24 this year in Kitwe, jointly and whilst acting together with others unknown, had unlawful carnal knowledge of a woman without her consent.
Lwenje and Mbulo denied the charge.
But when the matter came up for trial before resident magistrate Maxwell Mainsa on Monday, the woman told the court that Lwenje and Mbulo were allegedly part of a gang which allegedly stormed the room she sat in at a bar and raped her.
The woman narrated that earlier that day, her boyfriend who lives in Ndeke Village asked her to visit him because she was off duty.
She testified that when she arrived in Kitwe, she and her boyfriend relaxed at a guest house before proceeding to the bar where he works as a bartender.
The woman testified that she sat in a room behind the bar while waiting for her boyfriend’s to close the bar when four men forced the door open and removed him from there.
She said the men allegedly undressed her, threw her on a mattress and took turns to rape her.
The woman recalled that her assailants allegedly refused to leave her alone despite her pleading with them.
The woman narrated that while one of the men was raping her, the others held her legs apart.
She told the court that she did not allow any of the men to have sex with her.
The woman identified a black pair of jeans, a blue top, black pant and bra that she wore on the fateful day.
Trial continues.
