Police in Lusaka shoot two Criminals, one has since died

Police Spokesperson Charity Munganga-Chanda says one of the injured criminals was pronounced dead upon arrival at the University Teaching Hospital where he was rushed to, while other managed to escape.

Ms. Chanda says Police laid an ambush for the criminals following a tip-off from members of the public resulting in the two criminals being shot and injured in an incident which happened at about 19:00hrs.

She says the criminals jumped off from trees with others from the top of a container along the same road and attacked two identified brothers as they were going home in Makeni East, prompting the Police to open fire.

Ms Chanda says the assorted items the criminal had stolen valued at K750.00 have since been recovered.
