An Israel-based FIFA-accredited soccer agent is in Zambia to identify players he intends to market in the summer transfer window, the Post of Zambia reported on Friday.

Nir Karin, who has a history of marketing Zambian players and is an agent for most Zambian players abroad, will be in the country for three weeks during which he will watch various games to identify players, according to Post.

The 31-year-old agent has however advised Zambian soccer administrators not to overprice players who go trials abroad.

He said clubs should not hold on to players by pricing them exorbitantly, adding that he has noticed that most clubs wanted to over-price their players without considering their career progression.

“Clubs in Zambia should not hold on to players, they should not be asking hundreds of thousands because they have one big player. They should not play it big and put difficulties on the players’ career move,” he was quoted as saying by the paper.

“The clubs also need to understand that once they sell one good player in Europe and he excels, the European clubs will want more and more. They will not stop there, but Zambian clubs need to open the doors,” he added.
