Home Affairs Minister Ngosa Simbyakula has refuted assertions that the Zambia Police are over looking crimes being committed by the Patriotic Front (PF) cadres in the country.

This follows concerns raised after suspected PF cadres attacked United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema’s entourage in Ndola on Saturday.

Dr. Simbyakula has told Qfm News in an interview that the position of government is that there are no sacred cows when it comes to enforcing the law and maintaining order in the country by the Zambia Police.

He says the application of the law knows no political affiliation.

The Home Affairs Minister says this is why the Zambia Police should not feel restrained from bringing to book unruly cadres whether they are from the ruling party or from opposition political parties.

Dr Simbyakula says the PF government will not tolerate lawlessness in the country.
