Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba says UPND Leader Hakainde Hichilema needs 50 years to catch up with President Michael Sata’s popularity in the country.

Mr. Kabimba says the PF is still popular and that not even magic can make the UPND win the forthcoming 2016 elections.

He says the UPND is slowly dying and that the party is divorced from reality by painting itself as a growing party and a force to the PF.

ZNBC’s Inutu Mwanza reports that Mr. Kabimba was speaking in Choma on Sunday were he held a meeting with Southern Province PF party officials.

Mr. Kabimba notes that the winning of the position of Deputy Mayor in Livingstone by the PF is an indication that the ruling party is popular in the Southern province.

But UPND Secretary General Winstone Chibwe says party President Hakainde Hichilema’s popularity has escalated.

Mr Chibwe who is also in Southern province says if an election would be called on Sunday, Mr Hichilema would win due to his popularity.
