Eastern water connects Lundazi District hospital with water.

Eastern Water and Sewerage Company (EWSC ) has connected water supply to the newly constructed Lundazi District General Hospital at a total cost of K212, 156. 00.

Eastern Water and Sewerage Company Public Relations Officer (PRO) Henry Kashoki  disclosed this to ZANIS  in Lundazi .

He said the works which commenced last month has since reached 98 percent and work is expected to be completed next month, April 2014.

Mr Kashoki disclosed that the company’s objective is to effectively provide safe, adequate and affordable water supply and sanitation services with maximum efficiency to existing and potential clients in both Urban and Peri-Urban areas of Lundazi district.

The PRO observed that the project will not only benefit Lundazi District General Hospital which ha been recently constructed.

He further disclosed that in 2013 EWSC embarked on another extension water project in which Chimutyulu compound was connected to water supply at a total cost of K157, 000=00

Mr Kashoki disclosed this during the implementations of two projects worth K369, 156=00 where 250 people were employed.

He further appealed to residents situated along the two networks to apply for water connection to EWSC because company’s vision was to effectively provide safe, adequate and affordable water supply and sanitation services.
