PRESIDENT Michael Sata has gazetted Michael Nsangu Tembo as Senior Chief Kalindawalo of the Nsenga-speaking people of Petauke District.
Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Chileshe Mulenga said the new traditional leader was recognised in a Gazette Notice of February 26, 2014.
“Let me confirm that Mr Michael Nsangu Tembo has been recognised as Senior Chief Kalindawalo. He should have been gazetted on February 26, 2014,” Dr Mulenga said.
In November 2012, President Sata withdrew the recognition of Everson Mumba as Senior Chief Kalindawalo.
That was according to Statutory Instrument No. 77 of 2012 dated November 14, 2012.
