Former minister in the MMD regime Syacheye Madyenkunku says the various developmental projects the Patriotic Front (PF) government was implementing country wide cannot go unnoticed by any noble Zambian.

Mr Madyenkunku said the country had undergone major developments since President Michael Sata took office in 2011 which most Zambians can give testimony to.

Speaking at the PF office in Choma yesterday when he officially joined the Patriotic Front , Mr Madyenkunku said President Sata‘s  good leadership and commitment to the development of the country  motivated him to join the PF.

Mr Madyekunku who was disengaged from active politics for some time announced his move to the PF at the PF offices in Choma on March 15th where he was received by Choma PF district executive committee.

“When I was politically disengaged I took time to observe the governance policies of the PF government, and I noticed among others absence of rampant corruption, job creation, all resulting from the good leadership of Michael Chilufya Sata”, he said

He indicated that he was motivated to join the PF party because of President Sata’s commitment to the fight against corruption the vice which he described as a deterrent to development and poverty alleviation.

Mr Madyenkunku said various developmental projects the PF government was implementing in various parts of the country and southern province in particular was evident enough of the PF determination to drive the country forward.

“I am happy to announce that I am joining the Patriotic Front Party ready to spread the good story about PF from which many out there are still blinded by the opposition political parties that are corrupt”, he said

Mr Madyenkunku however commended president Sata for responding to the plight of Southern Province by moving the provincial capital from Livingstone to Choma which has made the provincial administration accessible to all districts in the province.

And welcoming Mr Madyenkunku to the party,  PF Southern Province Chairman Daniel Munkombwe who is also provincial Minister commended him for the wise decision he has made to join the ruling party.

Mr Munkombwe said the PF party was a democratic party which every Zambian who wished to be part of the development efforts the PF government had embarked on was free to join.

“Joining the PF party signifies your patriotism and desire to contribute meaningfully to the development of the nation which the PF government is determined to do. I am glad to receive you as a party member, with your experience in the government am confident we can work together in the province”, he said

And speaking earlier, PF provincial political secretary Leonard Siachona said Mr Madyenkunku would add great value to the party in the Southern province.

Mr Siachona urged party members in the district to embrace Mr Madyenkunku who had a lot of political experience to share with them.

Also present to receive Mr Madyenkunku to the party was the PF District executive and various party members from the district who sang songs of jubilation as they welcomed Mr Madyenkunku to the PF.
