ZONE Six Karate Union president Million Masambeki is today expected in the country to inspect the venue for the Zone Six Martial Arts Championship that Zambia will host in June this year.
Zambia Martial Arts Federation president Simba Mangaba said yesterday that Masambeki will inspect Lusaka’s Mulungushi International Conference Centre today.
Masambeki is also expected to meet Minister of Youth and Sport Chishimba Kambwili and officials from Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
The budget for the tournament is K694,640.
Mangaba announced that the launch of the tournament will be held tomorrow at Sum Wood Lodge in Lusaka.
He said Kambwili will grace the occasion.
The Zone Six Championship, which will take place from June 26-29 in Lusaka, has attracted 13 countries.
They include Botswana, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and hosts Zambia.
