A MAN in Kabwe has left many people quivering in shock after he took advantage of the absence of his neighbour to allegedly rape his wife.
Police in the Central Province headquarters have launched a search for the man, who allegedly sneaked into his neighbour’s house through a window and forced himself on the unsuspecting woman.
Central Province police chief Standwell Lungu, who confirmed the dastardly act in Kabwe yesterday, said the incident happened in Mukobeko area around 22:00 hours on Wednesday.
He identified the suspect as Glemson Milabo.
Mr Lungu said the suspect squeezed himself through the window to gain entry into his neighbour’s house and allegedly raped the woman whose husband was out of town.
He said the victim sustained bruises on her left arm and on her private parts.
Mr Lungu said the police were investigating the matter and asked members of the public to assist in bringing Milabo to justice.
