The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested a Disc Jockey and Journalist at Zambezi FM Radio Station in Livingstone for suspected corrupt practices involving 4 thousand kwacha.

Daniel Anakene, 39, of House Number DNB 111, Dambwa North in Livingstone was arrested on Thursday yesterday the 6th of January and charged with one count of corrupt practices with a public officer contrary to section 19 (2) as read with section 66 of the Anti-Corruption Act number 3 of 2012 of the Laws of Zambia.

Details are that on a date unknown but between 1st November, 2012 and 31st December, 2012 in Livingstone, Mr. Anakene corruptly offered K 4, 000 to Vivian Chiwila Chikoti, a Town Clerk at the Livingstone City Council as an inducement for the Chikoti to allocate him a piece of Land in Livingstone, a matter or transaction that concerns Livingstone City Council, a public body.

Daniel Anakene has since been released on bond and is scheduled to appear in the Livingstone Magistrate Court on 13th February, 2014.

This is according to statement released to Qfm news this morning by ACC Corporate Affairs Office Jonathan Siame.
