Road Safety Trust commences ‘save lives’ campaign

–Road Safety Trust Vice Chairperson, Beatrice Malama, says the preparations for the forth coming ‘save lives’ road safety fundraising campaign have started.

Mrs Malama says the ‘save lives’ campaign is meant to help reduce the number of road accidents around the country.

Speaking in a telephone interview with ZANIS in Lusaka today, Mrs Malama said the campaign will reduce the number of disability cases that are brought about by road accidents.

The Trust Vice Chairperson urged the public not to wait for government but do something about the roads as well as the accidents happening because the public is the actual government.

She also appealed to the general public to come together so that the nation does not lose more people through road traffic accidents.

Mrs malama mentioned that the Road safety Trust has been formed to help those who are accident victims and the nation as regards to roads.

Road Safety Trust Chairperson Mr Daniel Mwamba announced that RST will be holding the “Save Lives” Road Safety fundraising campaign event on Saturday, February 22, 2014, in Lusaka.
