Zambia volleyball team departs for Group U World Championship Qualifiers

–The Zambia National Volleyball Team this afternoon left for Kenya to participate in the forth coming Group U World Championship Qualifiers games.

The confident Zambian team left at 13:20 hours at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport via Addis Ababa.

ZANIS Sports reports that prior to departure, the team had a send off briefing by officials from the National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) at the National Sports Development Centre (NASDEC).

And the Zambia Volleyball Association (ZAVA) General Secretary, Charles Hambote, wished the team the very best during the tournament.

Hambote, however, thanked the NSCZ, National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) and the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) for facilitating the travel arrangements of the team.

With the gracious support of NSCZ, Team Zambia departed Lusaka via Addis Ababa at 13.20 today for Kenya to participate in the forth coming Group U World Championship Qualifiers games”, he said.

Zambia is pitted against Botswana, Cape Verde, Egypt and the hosts, Kenya, at the tournament which runs from 6th to 10th February.
