Zambia Police fails to record statement from GBM’s daughter

The Zambia Police today failed to record any statement from former Defence Minister Geoffrey Mwamba’s daughter Sibongile after she chose to remain mute during questioning.
Police deputy Public Relations officer Charity Munganga Chanda has told Qfm News that Sibongile who is one of the directors at Arizona Marketing Company presented herself at Force headquarters for questioning this morning around 09:00 hours.

Ms. Chanda says Police have also summoned other directors of Arizona marketing company including Mr Mwamba himself.

She adds that Mr Mwamba will appear for questioning at Force headquarters on Monday 10th February, 2014.
She says Sibongile was summoned for questioning on the cancelled ZESCO tender which was awarded to Arizona Marketing Company.

In 2012 ZESCO awarded a tender for the supply and delivery of 9 metres, 10 metres and 12 metres wooden poles on a one-year running contract basis to several bidders, including Arizona Marketing and Distribution which was later cancelled.
