The family was travelling from Solwezi to Mansa to attend a funeral when they met their fate near Kabitaka area along the Solwezi-Chingola Road.
The accident was confirmed by acting police spokesperson, Esther Katongo and North-Western Province deputy commissioner of police Michael Nkaka.
Ms Katongo said the truck, registration number ACK 3616, ACK 3616T, and ACK 5696T, was being driven by Milward Chilufya, aged 31, of Pamodzi Township in Ndola.
