Chief Tete commends President Sata

Chief Tete of the Nkoya speaking people in Luampa district has commended President Sata for declaring Luampa as a district.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS in Luampa todayu, Chief Tete said Luampa residents have seen unprecedented development since the declaration of the area as a district.

He noted that for the first time small-scale farmers in the area have received farming inputs in time and hopes there will be good yields this year.

Chief Tete also observed that most of the farmers in his chiefdom have extended their fields, a situation he described to be a positive development.

He has since urged the local community to work even harder in order to help government develop the area.

Chief Tete has further requested the residents to embrace the civil servants who have come to work in the district regardless of where they come from.
