Government’s job creations commended

—-Un employment Association of Zambia President Mpundu Mwanamwelwa has praised the Patriotic Front (PF) government for creating over 1700 jobs in road construction in Western province.

 

Mr Mwanamwelwa said the development is a good gesture for the benefit of not only the people of the plains but also for the entire country.

 

He told ZANIS in an interview in Lusaka today that government is trying it’s best to create jobs for the people of Zambia as opposed what some critics of government are saying.

 

Mr Mwanamwelwa said jobs created in Western province was as a result of road construction works of 80 Kilometre stretch at a total cost of K1.8 billion, Mongu – Kalabo road, M10 road between Senanga and Sesheke to name but a few.

 

He explained that government should be given time to implement developmental programmes for the benefit of the people of Zambia.

 

Mr Mwanamwelwa noted that the developments going on in Western province is the general picture of what is happening the whole nation in terms of infrastructure development which has created thousands of jobs for the people.

 

It has been reported that about 1,713 jobs have been created in the ongoing road construction works in Western province as at the end of December 2013.
