Zambia captain Christopher Katongo says he will retire from international football after the Morocco 2015 Africa Cup.

Katongo told ZNBC TV’s Sunday Interview programme that he intends to continue playing club football beyond his projected swansong in Morocco.
The 31-year-old added that he is hoping to stay fit and healthy enough to successfully help Zambia qualify for next January’s finals in Morocco.
“I still have energy I am looking at playing at the 2015 Africa Cup and I will be available for the 2015 Africa Cup qualifiers,” Katongo said who was the first Zambia captain to lift the Africa Cup in 2012.
“2015 Africa Cup will be my last and that will just be for national duties.”
Katongo has been a Chipolopolo mainstay since 2004 after graduating from the 2003 All-Africa Games team that finished fourth in Nigeria and that still remains the core of the current Zambia setup.
The striker is currently club-searching but training with MTN/FAZ  Super Division club Green Buffaloes in Lusaka  after leaving promoted Chinese club Henan Jianye last October following three seasons in China.
