Zambia coach Patrice Beaumelle is confident Sundowns midfielder Mukuka Mulenga will come back stronger from his long-term injury lay-off.
The 20-year-old midfielder will miss his first full season at Mamelodi Sundowns due to an ankle injury he sustained last August while on Zambia duty just before joining the PSL club from Power Dynamos.
“It is a long recovery program but Mukuka is strong enough and very talented to come back stronger,” Beaumelle told MTNFootball.com.
“I have no doubt that Mukuka is going to overcome this injury and come back to the football field soon. We all need him. Mukuka has all my support. He has to be patient.”
Mukuka played a key part in Zambia’s 2013 Cosafa Cup win at home last July when they defeated defending champion Zimbabwe 2-0 in the final that also saw him win the tournament most valuable player award.
